Happy birthday to our now 11 year old, Lily! Being the cool Mama I am, I promised to re-do her room for her birthday... that was in MARCH! :)
Some big things that still need doing. Like swap out dressers. I do like the two-toned retro dresser but have something else set aside. The campaign bookcase and other dresser still need painted, rug and curtains need picked out. Little other things here and there. Painting the walls were a you know what. Lily wanted purple so thats what she got (among other colors). She wanted a place to hang out with friends so thats what she got.

How refreshing it is to not see those dark and striped walls from so many bedroom sets ago.

All in all, I'd have to say we are happy with how it's turning out.. but even more pleased with having finally got to it.
I'll post better before and after pictures in the near future. Just wanted to show you what we are doing with our summer days.
p.s. don't mind the mess. still moving back in :)
